Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC)

I brought my 1 month old to the ER for high fever and was admitted to the ward for few days to do some examinations for the baby, overall the doctor that was in the ER was not comparative with us as we had some questions about my baby’s condition and he did not explain fully to us + had bad attitude. When we were admitted to the ward up the doctors take very long time to come and see my baby even though I call the nurse in charge several times and ask her that we need to see the doctor, even though my baby’s case is critical as he was diagnosed with Meningitis which is a dangerous infection around the brain + even the medications were late as he had to take 2 types of antibiotics every 3 hours, when I ask the nurse in charge why is the medication late she says it’s not yet sent from the pharmacy.nThe cleanses of the room is 2/10, the sofa + chair was dirty and had stains it’s like they were never washed or cleaned + there was very bad smell coming out of the toilet and when I toke a bath the water was up above my ankle it did not go down the drain. My baby have G6PD which can’t eat any type of beans specifically foul (he is breastfeed which means I also can’t eat it), I informed them upon my arrival that my baby has G6PD which means I should be on a special diet and can’t eat beans the next morning for breakfast I was served beans (Foul) what if I ate it and and something bad happened to my baby who will be in charge?nA well known hospital like SSMC should have more convenient services to their patients.

I recently had an experience at SSMC that exceeded my expectations, largely due to the exceptional care provided by the staff. I want to highlight Fatima Ali from the radiology department. From the moment I arrived, Fatima was incredibly professional and compassionate. She took the time to explain the procedures, answered all my questions, and made me feel at ease during a stressful time.nnHer expertise and attention to detail were evident, and she truly went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable. It's clear that she genuinely cares about her patients. The overall atmosphere of the hospital was welcoming, and the team worked seamlessly together. I highly recommend this hospital and especially commend Fatima for her outstanding service. Thank you for making my visit a positive one!

SSMC IN My experience at the hospital has been unsatisfactory, with daily assurances of patient discharge without providing a precise diagnosis. The patient experiences persistent pain and is only administered medication for relaxation, yet a definitive solution remains elusive.nSorry to say first time i see like this hospital very bad

During my recent stay at SSMC, I was impressed by the successful surgery, attentive doctors and nurses, immaculate rooms, and excellent facilities. The food they served was nutritious and healthy.
