One of Quttainah Specialized Hospital's patient, Mona Alhammadi said "(17-10-2024) They donu2019t tell me all the information when u call them + they donu2019t answer quickly and they donu2019t know how to guide you cause every time I call someone else answers. and when I went for my appointment they pressured me to book surgery day and pay 40% without telling me that on the phone earlier. The only good thing was meeting the doctor.nnOn 25 and 26 October 2024:nnOn the 26th, I was scheduled for surgery. However, I was surprised that there had been no prior communication from the hospital to remind me of the appointment or to provide me with any instructions on necessary preparations. Even worse, they gave me the wrong time for the surgery, and if I hadnu2019t double-checked the timing with them, I would have shown up at the incorrect time. I had to call the hospital myself to inquire, and when I spoke with one of the staff members, it was clear she didnu2019t know how to handle my situation, which led her to transfer me to her manager. I expressed to the manager my dissatisfaction with the poor coordination I faced.nnThe manager told me that they usually remind patients of their appointments between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, even though I was speaking with her after noon. She promised me she would be present at the hospital on the day of the surgery to offer assistance. However, on the day of the surgery, I found out she was on leave, which made me feel deceived.nnAdditionally, I had paid for a consultation before deciding to proceed with the surgery and was promised that this amount would be deducted from the surgery cost, but that did not happen. I paid the full amount, only to be surprised that the surgeon thought I had only paid a half of the price. Furthermore, every time I visited the hospital, they assured me that they would contact the doctor and schedule an appointment for me, but each time, I discovered that they neither spoke to the doctor nor made any booking. We even had to contact the assistant ourselves to make the appointment, which reflects poor organization and transparency.nnMy experience at the hospital was filled with poor treatment from the staff, especially the Arab staff, who clearly showed a lack of concern for patientsu2019 needs. On the day of the surgery, I also faced an issue with one of the nurses who attempted to insert the IV needle incorrectly five times, completely ignoring my complaints of pain, which led to swelling in my hand for three weeks. The size of the swelling from the needle was larger than the surgery site itself.nnAfter this terrible experience, I would not recommend anyone to visit this hospital. I would rather travel abroad for my treatment than return to this place, and I am grateful that my treating doctor does not work permanently at this hospital. I do not recommend anyone to go through this experience, and I hope others avoid visiting this place due to the shockingly poor level of service and disregard for patientsu2019 needs.";.

This is my most honest, raw, and sincere review of my recent experience 😊nnI went to QSH to see Dr. Adel for a consultation because I wanted arm liposuction. The consultation went smoothly, and I was surprised by how kind and down-to-earth he was, despite many people telling me he was full of himself. Anyway, he's cool too, not just his cars!nnMoving forward to surgery day, I was instructed to arrive at the hospital at 10:30 AM, and I got there at 10:00. I was initially surprised by an unexpected fee I had to pay, which had not been communicated to me beforehand. While I paid it, I would have appreciated being informed of it prior to my surgery day. I was then seated until about 12:45 or almost 1 PM, and no one came to update me or apologize for the delay. My surgery was scheduled for 11 AM. I understand that unexpected events happen in hospitals, but I believe it's my right to be informed. Instead, I had to get up with a face that showed my growing anger, frustration, and anxiety. nOh, and I forgot to mention: when I arrived, a nurse took my vitals. She asked me questions as though I'd never been to the hospital before, seeming unsure if I'd already had blood tests done and even confusing my procedure by saying I was there for a double chin. Funny, right?nnBut it just made me more anxious, feeling like I was in the hands of people who might not know their jobs well. That was disappointing!nnEventually, some nurses started making calls to get me upstairs, and when they did, I was asked to put on a hospital gown and wait. My surgery didn't happen until around 3:40 PM, after I had seriously considered leaving the hospital and not getting it done. Special thanks to Nurse Raina for being there and taking care of me. I also saw two other doctors before Dr. Adel arrived to mark my arms. I don't remember who they were, but they were positive. nWhen I had my consultation with Dr. Adel, I told him I wanted the procedure under local anesthesia, to which he responded that I wouldn't feel pain, just some tingling and movement. That sounded fine. However, in the operating room, he showed me two small injections and said he was starting. I swear, as soon as he touched my arm, I felt excruciating pain. He told me the fluid would numb my arm, but each bit of fluid he injected was incredibly painful. I wish he had communicated this more clearly during the consultation so I could have made an informed decision. Maybe others can tolerate this pain, but I couldn't. So, through my pain, I requested to switch from local to general anesthesia, and I'm very grateful they accommodated my request. However, I feel I wasn't given a clear picture of how a local anesthetic would actually feel. I'm just a normal person; I needed more details and to know what to expect. This lack of transparency is something I find hard to forgive. nFor the next three days after the procedure, I kept reliving the pain, which triggered intense anxiety. I wanted to forget it, but the memory stuck with me. I'm finally feeling better now, but it was a horrible kind of pain. I could write about it endlessly because it was so awful. nIt's been almost 7 days since my procedure, and I still feel terrified. I have an upcoming appointment to remove my stitches. If anything else worth mentioning happens, I'll come back and add more. Thanks to Dr. Wael, if that was his name, for comforting me towards the end. nI also want to add that Dr Wael informed me about a follow up appointment that needs to happen after 10 days but nobody called to schedule it. I had to take the initiative and schedule it myself. I just don't feel I was taken care of at the level I believe I deserve or at the level that would live up to the hospital's reputation and the reviews I had heard. Thanks to Marah for arranging my consultation and surgery day.

The biggest specialized hospital in the Middle East and I am so I love with everything over there. The staff and doctors are so nice and friendly, you will feel super confident over there and relax. The skill and how much they focus on details just make me want to come back again for other service too. They have their own cafe downstairs which all handmade.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Unprofessional Behavior by Dr. Mohammed Hussein Abu HadeednnDear respected hospital,nnI hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at Quttainah Specialized Hospital during my consultation with Dr. Mohammed Hussein Abu Hadeed. nDuring our visit, we sought advice about a facelift procedure. While we appreciate that the doctor may have had valid medical concerns, his approach and behavior were entirely unprofessional. He spoke to my grandfather in a disrespectful manner, raising his voice unnecessarily, which was both uncomfortable and inappropriate. nAdditionally, when discussing the cost of the procedure, we were offered a discount but were not informed that the price did not include VAT. At the end of the process, we were surprised to find a 5% VAT charge that had not been mentioned earlier. When we brought this up with the doctor, he responded sarcastically, saying, u201cIf you don't like it, go to the government and tell them.u201dnnWhen we suggested that it would have been better to inform patients about the VAT upfront, he mocked us further, saying, u201cOkay, I'll try to inform patients next time!u201d Furthermore, he added a highly unprofessional comment, stating, u201cThis place is not a supermarket.u201dnnThis experience was disappointing and far from the professional standards expected from a reputable institution like Quttainah Specialized Hospital. Such behavior not only disrespects patients but also damages the hospital's reputation. nI urge you to investigate this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that future interactions between patients and staff are handled with the utmost professionalism and respect. nThank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon. nSincerely
