We have been seeing Dr. Lana for some years. She is a very thorough and patient paediatric dentist. Reception staff are also good. Thanks!

my recent visit there was fantastic--doctor fadi is really knowledgeable and made sure I understood everything without feeling rushed. I also have to mention Taha and Marwa at the reception. They were super helpful and made everything run smoothly. Honestly, the whole experience was top-notch from start to finish.
I took my daughter to the general dentist at Nicolas & Asp Uptown Mirdif branch because she was suffering from pain in her upper first molar. The dentist decided to take a panoramic X-ray, even though there was no need for it. It was clear that the decision was purely commercial. Later, she claimed that the molar wasn't clear and decided to take a periapical X-ray instead. My question is: why wasn't this done from the beginning? Why expose the patient to unnecessary radiation with a panoramic X-ray, which equals the radiation of 30 periapical X-rays?nnAs a dentist myself, I could clearly see that the tooth was necrotic and required immediate drainage to relieve the pain. However, the dentist insisted that she couldn't open the tooth and prescribed antibiotics instead. When I asked why she wouldn't open the tooth, her response was that my daughter's tooth wouldn't numb properly in its current condition. I explained that opening a necrotic tooth doesn't even require anesthesia, but she said this was the clinic's u201cpolicyu201d and pulpectomy to be done by the endodontist. Does it mean that the Gp in the clinic is just to order x-rays and prescribe antibiotics and she is unable to relieve the pain!!!!!!!!nnWhat kind of policy exposes patients to unnecessary radiation and prescribes unnecessary antibiotics?nnI was extremely disappointed and will not return to this clinic. However, I can't help but think about patients without any medical background who would simply trust these harmful practices.
