I take my hat off to this wonderful professional. Dr Gopal was with me every step of the way when I was admitted under his care for close to a week. One of best doctor in Dubai for all respiratory issues...I was suffering from terrible nose blocked issues...met several doctors but got no relief.... finally things got better when I started treatment with Dr Gopal....can see significant improvement in health....Good thing he will listen and explain in detail about your exact condition and treatment to be planned ahead which is not case with most of doctors.... Definitely recommended if you are facing any kind of respiratory problems...I am thankful to him...

Some life events are challenging, but they hold great value. nI am Amir Ali, 59 years old, residing in Dubai and working as an engineer. nIn January 2024, I began experiencing pain in the lower part of my abdomen. Despite multiple visits to doctors and undergoing ultrasound and colonoscopy tests, there was no clear diagnosis. During this time, I lost my appetite and more than 10 kg of weight. nBy late February, on February 28, 2024, I developed a cough (being a smoker) and visited NMC Hospital. I had an appointment with Dr. Gopal Chawla, a chest specialist. After explaining my symptoms, Dr. Gopal recommended further tests, including a chest X-ray. nThis X-ray became a pivotal moment. It revealed fluid in my left lung, occupying more than 25% of it. Dr. Gopal immediately flagged this as a serious concern and contacted a radiologist for further evaluation. He concluded that more tests were necessary and scheduled a CT scan, advising me to head to the emergency department for additional assessment. nThe following day, I underwent a CT scan to test and collect samples of the lung fluid. After reviewing the results, Dr. Gopal called me to his office and delivered the diagnosis: I had lymphoma cancer in my chest and a mass of tumors in my abdomen. He arranged for a biopsy and a PET scan to further investigate the type and stage of the cancer, then referred me to Dr. Avanthi, a cancer specialist. nA few days later, Dr. Avanthi received the PET scan and biopsy results, confirming my cancer as stage 4. She provided a detailed report on my condition. During this time, I continued losing weight, another 10 kg, which brought me down to 68 kg. I looked skinny and felt even weaker. I sought permission from Dr. Avanthi to pursue treatment in my home country, Iraq, and traveled there on March 26, 2024, bringing all the medical reports from NMC Hospital and other centers. nIn Iraq, I consulted Dr. Amaar Fadil, a specialist in blood diseases. Based on Dr. Avanthi's report, he advised chemotherapy. On April 5, 2024, at the Blood Center, I received my first dose of chemotherapy. The plan was to undergo six sessions, each spaced three weeks apart. nAfter the third dose, I began to feel stronger, experiencing a 60% improvement in my strength and appetite, and I regained 10 kg. Dr. Amaar ordered a CT scan, which showed promising results, though he recommended completing the remaining three doses as per the protocol. On July 17, 2024, I took the final dose, and after a month, I underwent a PET scan and blood tests. nThe results were overwhelmingly positive, showing complete recovery. I take this opportunity to encourage others facing similar challenges to rely on specialist doctors and trust their decisions. It is essential to stay courageous, maintain a strong spirit, and keep faith. Additionally, the support of family and friends plays a crucial role in this journey, as their love and care provide immense strength. nLastly, I would like to extend my deep gratitude to the doctors who played a significant role in my diagnosis and treatment:n1.
