**27-May-2024**nnDr. Dilip Paniker performed meningioma surgery on my father on May 27, 2024. Prior checkups at Aster confirmed his fitness for surgery, and we were assured the procedure would take 6 hours, with recovery including 2 days in ICU, moving to a ward, and discharge within a week. There were no chance of any consequences as informed by him during the day. However, the surgery took 10 hours. Post-surgery, an MRI revealed a brain clot and right-side paralysis. On the second day, my father developed an infection and pneumonia. The doctor reassured us that recovery would be slower due to his age. On the third day, my father suffered a heart attack, and Dr. Dilip left for leave, handing over his care to junior doctors. Despite reassurances, my father remained unconscious after 5 days. On the sixth day, a second surgery was needed to address bleeding in the skull, and a bone was removed to prevent further bleeding. By the seventh day, there was some movement on his left side. On the eighth and ninth days, he began opening his right eye, and he was moved to Medical ICU on the tenth day due to the improvements shown. On the eleventh day, we were told he showed great improvement and could start physiotherapy for his right side. However, that night, we were informed that his heart levels had fluctuated and a temporary pacemaker was needed. By the twelfth day, another infection was detected with a count of 38,000, up from 24,000 on the eleventh day. This was leading to sepsis, and antibiotics were started. Creatinine levels also rose, and there were fluctuations in blood pressure. On the thirteenth day, with no improvement from medication, dialysis was initiated under low blood pressure conditions. Early on the fourteenth day, my father passed away during dialysis due to heart failure. We are devastated and believe that poor decisions, lack of proper care, and misleading information led to our loss. The doctor who had reassured us on the eleventh day admitted on the twelfth day that my father's infection count was 24,000 on the eleventh day. Throughout, my father was on a ventilator. I urge others to be cautious about trusting promises from this doctor and his team. Their focus seems to be on financial gain rather than patient care, often leading to unnecessary treatments and losses. We have to pay thrice the estimated amount to the hospital. The lack of compassion and accountability is disheartening. I hope sharing this will help others make informed decisions about their medical care. nThank you.

Negligence and lack of care resulted in the death of my beloved uncle. After the surgery performed by this doctor resulted in complications, he felt it would be best to continue on with his holidays and leave my uncle in the care of the junior team. From there my uncle's condition steadily deteriorated due to various factors including getting a preventable hospital acquired infection. This was despite continued assurances that there would be improvement after every turn of events. This doctor and his team lack compassion and empathy. They will sell you on their words without following through. Had they exercised more caution and care, I believe my uncle would be alive. I advise everyone with caution when trusting this doctor and his team.
