I had a fantastic stay at Al Raha Beach Hotel. Mohamed Farouk, the Director of Rooms, ensured everything was perfect, and Edwin, the Golf Car Rider, provided excellent service throughout my visit as well as Shabaan, the pool / beach lifeguard. The hotel villas are great with stunning views & spacious rooms. The breakfast included many options and their service was lovely. Decent hotel with nice pool and good food options. Don’t go expecting a five star beach and food but one plus is the pool swim up bar.
The hotel is five stars, but is very dangerous for the health of all guests. Beside the beds there are lamps containing energy-saving lamps containing MERCURY. These bulbs hold VERY badly in the sockets and can fall out suddenly any time. You have a rest in bed and next to you falls the bulb on glass table, mercury and shards everywhere-in your face/body and all bed! It happened to us and the staff in reception was arogant a responded with a sober and unprofessional response. We had to forcefully change the mercury contaminated room!nUnprofessionally cleans the room from mercury and accommodates other guestsnBetter close this hotel!!! Every room are same dangerous system.
