Dru Campbell - Midwife Home visitsnnAs a first time Mum living in Dubai away from family, I wanted the reassurance of having midwife home visits after I left the hospital, Dru Campbell, from Genesis, came highly recommended by a close friend of mine and her services did not disappoint. As I mentioned that I would be working with Dru to friends, colleagues and medical professionals, such as my doctor and Osteopath, everybody said how amazing she is and had talked about the great work that she does.nnDru is kind and compassionate, her home visits allowed me to feel confident in my baby’s growth, well-being, and general progression. There were no questions that were too stupid for Dru to answer! At all times she made me and my husband feel comfortable and reassured. Not only was Dru able to show care for a newborn baby, she also prioritized my health and well-being. It was in fact, Dru highlighted an issue that I had which led me to go back to my doctor, if it hadn’t been for Dru I would not have known about the issue which could’ve become serious.nnI will always be very grateful to Dru for her professionalism, her kindness, her responsiveness and her ability to understand and answer the questions that I had and still have as a first time Mum.nnThe service that is offered for at home visits I highly recommend to anyone and everyone who’s having a new baby. Deemah, Hussein and Salma - all of whom have been beyond excellent!nnI was pregnant with twins and had follow ups with all 3 doctors. I am so utterly grateful that I was referred to the team at Genesis during my fertility journey.nnAs an older mother, I needed a team who would be able to support a high risk pregnancy. Genesis proved to be everything I had hoped it would be.nnI did my fertility scans with the extremely supportive Dr Hussain. When I finally became pregnant, he rejoiced with me!nnThroughout the pregnancy scans he was very detailed, reassuring, kind and knowledgeable. I can't thank him enough for the way he treated me.nnThen it came time to start seeing Dr George, in preparation for him to deliver my baby. I was a little nervous to get to know another doctor, but I was immediately put at ease, by Dr George's calming presence. I had heard numerous positive comments about Dr George on the mum chats, and I was not disappointed! I feel so grateful that he was my doctor.nnSoon after we met for the first time, I had my first scare, which involved a stay in hospital and the reassuring presence of Dr George.nnIn the meantime time I had gestational diabetes, which Dr Rahila guided me through with an expert touch.nnI was on bed rest for a month, then I called Dr George again with a strange feeling. He immediately referred me to the hospital and 2 days later my baby was born, very early.nnDr George's expertise is not just technically brilliant, it's that combined with empathy, candour, calmness and kindness that makes him such a phenomenal doctor. It's impossible to put into words the gratitude I have for him.nnSpecial mention goes out to Dru, the wonderful midwife who was unfailingly supportive, got things moving for me when necessary and I can't thank her enough for that.nnI would also like to give a shout out to Juby and the other nurses, who have been rooting for me all the way. The reception team have also always been so supportive and kind. My baby brain is not allowing me to remember the name of one particularly lovely member of the reception team, but you know who you are!nnOverall, Genesis is an oasis of calm and a wonderful team. I feel incredibly lucky to have had the privilege of Dr. George overseeing my pregnancy journey. From the moment I stepped into Genesis, I knew I was in good hands. Dr. George's patience and calm demeanor immediately put me at ease, and throughout the entire process, he provided unwavering mental support and addressed all my concerns with a level of understanding that truly exceeded my expectations. Within just two hours, Dr. George had efficiently completed a C-section, and I found myself cradling my baby boy. Her professionalism and prompt responses were instrumental in ensuring that every aspect of my care was attended to with the utmost diligence and care.nnMoreover, the antenatal classes led by midwives Ms. Martie and Ms. Dru were incredibly beneficial for my husband and me. Their support and guidance throughout the prenatal period were invaluable, and they consistently addressed all our concerns with patience and expertise.nnOverall, our experience at Genesis has been nothing short of exceptional, thanks to Dr. George, Ms. Juby, Ms. Martie, Ms. Dru and entire team.
