So slow & uncooperative staff
I thank Dr. Hisham Atef, the internist. She is a wonderful doctor, kind to her patients, and very skilled. May God protect her.
Despite all the renovations and improvements made to the hospital over the past three years, including building renovations, the addition of new buildings, and comprehensive upgrades to departments in terms of organization and capacity, some serious errors persist, for which the patient and their companions bear the brunt. These errors are not limited to staff or doctors but also stem from a lack of administrative oversight of both staff and doctors' performance. The estimated time to see a doctor can exceed 45 minutes, regardless of whether you arrive on time or 15 or 20 minutes early. You will never see the doctor at your pre-booked appointment. In some cases, the wait can exceed an hour. This raises a very pressing question: if the doctor only deigns to spend 5-15 minutes with the patient between reception and examination, and in most cases, the maximum time you spend in the doctor's office is no more than 8 minutes, where does the rest of the wasted time go? Recently, something truly bizarre happened. We went to the hospital with a pre-arranged appointment and arrived 20 minutes early. When our scheduled time arrived, they didn't call us in to see the doctor. We asked the receptionist, and she replied, rather embarrassedly, that the doctor was on break! We all know that doctors are human and get tired like everyone else, but from an administrative perspective, where is the coordination? Where is the organization? Where is everything? What did I, my family, and my children do to deserve wasting our time waiting in the waiting room because of poor organization and management?! I'll leave this space for anyone who wants to share their experiences, and I'll also give the hospital administration a chance to respond.
Unfortunately, the emergency room's treatment is really bad. I waited for two hours without receiving any treatment for my son. I left and after a quarter of an hour, one of the nurses called me and said, "The doctor is calling you now if you need treatment for your son." Unfortunately, the saying applies to them inhumanely. "Two hours waiting for treatment." The biggest disaster, from the time I arrived until I left, was that all the patients did not exceed 10 people, most of whom had colds and flu. This means that the doctor would diagnose each patient in 3 minutes, even if he had experience.
This is my second experience with my mother at Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital. The procedures were very quick, they were attentive to the patient, and all services were available. My last experience with my twin mother was very worthy of being announced publicly, as my doctor (Maisa) was present with me and was creative in the way she dealt with me and the way she cared for me. Thank God, I was able to raise my twins naturally, and this is thanks to God and her. As for the care in the rooms, it was very high-class, as if it were a hotel service. I recommend it to all pregnant women based on my experience.
