Among the Authority's objectives is to achieve the optimal level in the field of health care to serve the community. The authority’s jurisdiction includes, but is not limited to, monitoring and analyzing the general health situation of the population in the emirate.nnThe Authority also works to monitor the performance of the system, develop systems, and apply the best international practices and standards. The Authority works with and encourages all health care service providers to adopt global goals and performance indicators and monitors and inspects all health facilities to ensure the application of the best quality standards.nnThe Authority is also concerned with launching community health programs and raising awareness among individuals to adopt healthy practices in order to improve public health in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, in addition to regulating the health insurance program with regard to the cost of basic documents and the scope of coverage.
